Elgin, IL Wedding: Adriana & Jimmy

When I met Adriana & Jimmy, they said they only wanted a small intimate church ceremony. When I caught up with them closer to the wedding day, they had chosen to add a small family dinner. Long story short, there were a TON of people at the church. Little did they know how many folks cared about them and wanted to share in their wedding bliss. They had all the traditional hispanic touches, the lasso, candle, bible, arras and even had mariachi!

After the beautiful ceremony, we went to Lord's Park for newlywed snuggles and photos. It... was... cold. Sooooooo unseasonably windy and harshly cold. Jimmy's son and his girlfriend were jacket assistants and helped me keep Adriana warm between shots.

We then went to their family dinner and heard a wonderful toast by Jimmy's older brother in which he lovingly tricked his brother into a first dance. Not a dry eye in the house. Thanks you two for letting me come along in your sweet journey, cheers to your love!

Batavia VFW Wedding in Batavia, IL: Brooke & Ryan

Brooke & Ryan chose a chilly March day and the Batavia VFW for their wedding celebration. Their pup was the ring bearer, he looked so dapper!

The day began at Inspired Salon by Carolyn where they got amazing hair styles. We then headed to the Batavia VFW to finish getting ready and last minute decor touch ups.

The ceremony was full of happy tears, they were both very moved while saying their vows. After they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone clapped and their pup barked along, so sweet.

We headed out for photos while the sun was setting, then back inside to continue with the celebration. Brooke & Ryan, very many congratulations as you head into this world united as a couple.

Montgomery, IL VFW Wedding: Melissa & Noel

When Melissa & Noel told me about their Wizard of Oz wedding plans, I was incredibly excited. You could say I was a bit skeptical they could pull it off, yet remained cautiously optimistic. Well, it was waaaaaaay better than I imagined. The flying monkey flower girls were my favorite! No wait, it was the ruby red shoes. No, it was the yellow brick road aisle runner. Can't decide, it was all magical!

They chose VFW in Montgomery for it all to happen. The ceremony was outdoors on a beautiful April day. We then stayed out for some family photos and some with their wedding party. During the dancing, Melissa's stepdad surprised her by wearing a shirt with her dad's face on it... not a dry eye in the house. Towards the end of the night, we stepped out for a couple of colorful photos of just the two of them. What a day, congratulations you two!

Schaumburg, IL Family Session: The G Family

These 4 siblings wanted to surprise their mom for mother's day with a bunch of photos of the people she loves. They of course brought their husbands and children to complete the picture. I feel incredibly lucky to have captured them. Everyone was in such good spirits, they even pulled off a sweet hip hop cover album pose. Thank you for everything!

Schaumburg, IL Family Session: The R Family

I love this family! They are my accountants with their beautiful daughter and pup Rio. Every year I bring them what I affectionately refer to as my "box of shame" They turn it into neat reports, filings and keep Cloud Foto running smoothly and in tip top shape, thank you! You can find more info on them here. Thanks R Family for coming out to our mini sessions!

Schaumburg, IL Family Session: The L Family

Say hello to the L family, one of these ladies was my bride 2 years ago. I was super excited to see her, her mom, sister and nieces again... and there's one more on the way, yay! The day was a bit windy but so nice and warm. The flowers were the best backdrop for these 3 generations to sit and hug and spin and dance. Thank you ladies for hanging with me!

Glenview, IL Family Session: The J Family

The J Family and I go way back, all the way back to when Baby P was in her mama's belly (check them out here)  It has been absolute joy watching this girl's journey, now as a toddler. She is loving, sensitive, caring and loved the flowers and ducks all around. I'm not surprised at all, she is surrounded by so much love! Thanks J Family, happy 2nd birthday Baby P!

Schaumburg, IL Family Session: The S Family

I had the honor of photographing their wedding in 2014 (check it out here) and I just met their sweet baby boy. I can see both of them in his cute face. Baby K was in an incredible mood and loved walking on the grass and playing in the flowers. Thank you for such a sweet morning and showing me all 4 of your teeth!

Baby N's First Birthday

Sweet Baby N, it fills me with joy how great your first year on earth has been. Last year as a newborn you were absolutely amazing. Today was so fun, seeing you stand and wobble and fall. So many great things to come for you!

Our session took place at home, we started out with basic GQ model poses, then got a bit more cultural with the charro outfit. The cake smash was last and it was good, he loved every frosting fistful. Thanks to grandma & grandpa who helped with the cleanup.

Thanks again for a sweet session little guy! Feliz cumpleaños bebé!

Carmina's Restaurant Wedding in Elgin, IL: Soray & Marcos

Soray & Marcos were amongst the 20 couples their church united in marriage that day. Yep, 20 couples, it was organized chaos! Each couple went up to the altar to exchange vows, rings and arrasAfter that, the lasso was blessed and placed on them by their padrinos (sponsors).

Following the ceremony, we headed out to Lord's Park for sweet photos in the rain. Then it was off to Carmina's Restaurant for an amazing taco bar and fantastic live music. Congratulations!

Martinique Banquets Wedding in Burbank, IL: Stephanie & Thurston

Stephanie & Thurston began their wedding day at nearby hotel, they got ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. It's always so fun seeing them interact and having the parents pop in and help with details. Thanks Teresa for coming along, she made sure we didn't miss any action.

They chose Martinique Banquets for both their ceremony and reception. I LOVE outdoor ceremonies! It was a bit chilly but the sun was out warming us up a tad. My favorite part, was the jumping of the broom and the prayer that followed. We then walked into the reception for a delicious family style dinner and hot sauce to go with it, yum! Thurston grabbed the mic before their first dance and spoke about their beginnings and what he loves about her; that sure made for a tender dance! Congratulations you two!

Baby L's First Birthday

Oh Baby L, we go way back. I absolutely love your parents. We had the honor of photographing their wedding and recently their maternity and your newborn too. I'm beyond thrilled to see what an amazing home and loving arms you find yourself in everyday. Thanks you for the smiles, the tears and the chubby legs. Go on now, toddlerhood is here!

LaBagh Woods Family Session in Chicago: The B Family

I had the pleasure of meeting part of this family back in the fall. I'm incredibly honored to meet more branches of their family tree this time. Grandma and grandpa got to be with their kids and their grandkids. We started at home with everyone. We then headed out LaBagh Woods where the kids could run a bit and be wild. Thank you B Family!

The Morton Arboretum Family Session

I... needed... this... session! It happened on Mother's Day at the immensely glorious Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. I love working with toddlers, they have such pure and raw emotion, this baby girl had quite a range of it.

We started by the maze, then the award-winning children's garden and then moved into the park by a flowering tree. I had so much fun with you two, thank you or a sweet, hot, flowery day!
