Chicago Engagement Session: LeeAnn & Mario

LeAnn was a bridesmaid for Caitlyn & Will's wedding last year. Long story short, we'll be photographing her wedding with Mario next year, yay! For their engagement session, they wanted a super Chicago and baseball vibe. He actually proposed at Wrigley during the world series that the Cubs won, so obviously we went there. They also wanted murals, skyline, the works. We ended the night at North Ave beach while the rain viciously and romantically came down.

We are very much looking forward to the big day, congratulations!

Chicago Engagement Session: Mayra & Matthew

This is Mayra and her fiancee Matthew. Back in 2013, we had the honor of photographing her sister's wedding and then her brother's wedding in 2015. Next year, we get to do hers and Matthew's. Words cannot describe how giddy and excited I am to get all 3 siblings in one family.

For their engagement session, these two wanted to go all over Chicago. We starting at the United Center, where he proposed. Then a pit stop at Logan Square where we saw the perfect taco truck and a couple of murals. Maggie Daley Park was next, so fun going down the slides and hanging by the forts. Our last stop was Merchandise Mart and the bridges by there. It was a magical day, I can't wait for the wedding!

Challenger Comics Engagement Session in Chicago, IL: Lakisha & Jesse

As soon as I met them, we clicked. They are going to have an amazingly nerdy wedding and I cannot wait. Naturally, for their engagement they wanted to echo the theme and visit their favorite comic book store, Challenger Comics in Chicago. Afterwards, we went around the block for some shots with the murals. Aquaman, Wonder Woman, I can't wait for the big day!

Lisa & Quinn's Rainy, Beachy Chicago Engagement Session

It had steadily rained for the whole afternoon, I thought the session wasn't going to happen.  But the rain stopped-ish right on time, even the sun even came out at the end!  It's hard to beat the city and lake as your backdrops, and they rocked it.  Plus, they're having their reception in the suburbs, so I'm extra happy we added Chicago to their photos.  Can't wait for their wedding this fall!

Beth & Tyler's Flowery Engagement

Beth & Tyler were on "flower watch" for a few weeks, it totally paid off.  We went to THE floweriest place ever, Lilacia Park in Lombard.

I always recommend sessions to start an hour before sunset, this is why!  We had amazing light and great cloud coverage!

Thanks Beth & Tyler for a sweet evening, we can't wait for your winter wedding!

Eileen & Dan's Pajamas, L Train and Fire Engagement

This session was epic. We had pajamas, coffee, board games, the L.  After all that, we drove pretty far to one of our favorite forests preserves, Waterfall Glen.  We couldn't have timed it better! We got to the park just in time for that blue twilight. He started the sweet fire and we wrapped up as the preserve was about close.  I can't wait for the wedding next year! Thank you guys for an unforgettable day.

Suzie & Joe's Behind Lincoln Park Engagement Session

When I met Suzie & Joe, they mentioned their amazing rooftop view and how difficult it would be to actually climb up there. It was a bit shaky but TOTALLY worth it, seriously wow! Afterwards we came back downstairs to get some puppy kisses.

Next stop, Lincoln Park; but not the front. This time we went behind the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and followed along until we hit the lake. Lastly, a pit stop by the Honeycomb structure; lucky for us, it was lit up!

Congratulations you two! Can't wait for the Chicago wedding next summer!

Martha & Peter's Oak Park Church Garden Engagement

I loved hanging out with Martha & Peter! They are so spontaneous, I wasn't sure where their session would take place when I started driving towards them that morning.  We went to the church where they will be saying their vows this fall, it was bright and beautiful.  Not that I tried, but I couldn't keep them off each other! They've been together for a long, long time yet the novelty is very much still there.  Thank you guys for a great session, I can't wait to capture your wedding soon!
