Sweet Baby M, I had the honor of photographing your sister as a newborn and on her 1st birthday. Back then, she didn't talk. You could imagine how wonderful it was to hear her voice and how she asked me questions and wanted to help with your photos. Makes me wonder how alike you'll be. You certainly look very different, but your home will be just as nice, just as supportive and just as loving. Baby M, it was great meeting you and seeing how you fit into your family. See you on your birthday sweet girl!
Say hello to Baby E, born in the fall. Just about a year after her parent's wedding last year, check it our here. She was such a good baby, loved all the noise and cuddles. Her big brother Ozzie is doing great with her too, he kept an eye on me the whole time. I'm so excited for her to grow up in the same farm her father grew up in. Baby E, I can just picture you climbing over everything, getting muddy nails, getting lost in the corn fields, I'm so happy for you.
Sweet beautiful boy, I'm so happy you're finally here. You were born in Florida, as Hurricane Irma was closing in. It took so very long to get you home, so worth it though. Your parents and sister are over the moon with every sigh and sound you make. Thanks for letting me wrap you and squish you, you were a total champ, specially in the boat. Oh, and thanks for sharing your session with your sister, we celebrated her 4th birthday as well.
Baby A is my itty bitty honorary niece. I love this family so very much, we've known each other for years and have celebrated many family milestones together. Baby A was so calm and loved all my soothing techniques. welcome, welcome, welcome. What a lovely home you landed in, your mom and dad have been waiting for you for such a long time. I'm looking forward to everything with you!
This sweet girl was the first newborn in 2017. She was cuddly, chill and a very heavy sleeper. Her brother did a great job holding her while also jumping on bed a ton. I got to meet this sweet family (back when there were 3) at a wedding I photographed last year. Big bro was a ham then and a ham now! I'm truly blessed to meet so many brand new people, thanks for a sweet session Baby B!
Seems like January was the month for having a second baby, Baby K joined a wonderful family that included one of my former Cloud babies, check out big Brother's session here
This sweet girl had an incredibly calm and curious personality. She was digging all the setups we came up with, but of course being held was her favorite. I can't wait to see how you crawl, walk and talk soon! Thank you to this wonderful family that have included me in their best moments.
Baby J the second child of this sweet couple. I had the honor of photographing both maternities and both kids as newborns. Such a joy to see this little family growing and growing. Big bro was a summer baby and Baby J arrived during the winter. Check out Baby D's session here.
Go on now and start growing Baby J. I'm sure you'll be getting into all kinds of situations and adventures with your brother. Thank you for trusting me with these moments!
This session, these kids, that dog! It was all a dream. My first set of triplets and they were absolute heaven. They slept so well during setups and loved being wrapped up. Special thanks to Teresa & Toty who helped me get them soothed and quickly changed blankets, wraps, anything!
Baby M, Baby M, Baby M, you are so loved already. You came in like a wrecking ball of love into this very deserving home. I couldn't think of better parents for you. I hope you like good food, hanging with family and parties with friends.
Sweet Baby M, welcome, welcome, welcome! Know this, your parents are absolutely smitten with your face, your hair, your toes, your sounds... I'm thankful to have met you, thank you for being sooooooo awesome. Seriously, you loved everything I had in mind for our session. I hope to run into you again in the future. I do know some of your buddies after all :)
What a difference a month makes. At 2 weeks you were so curly, sleepy and cozy being wrapped. At 2 months you are smiling, holding your head up and your eye contact is on point. I'm so happy I met you, I can't wait to see you sitting up, babbling and eating your toes my little Ro-Ro, as your mamma calls you.
Baby E is my newest cousin! We started out with some wrapped poses, I was being very gentle with him (I always am, I swear). But at some point during the session, it dawned on me, I CAN KISS THIS ONE!
We cuddled and hung out between feeding and peeing everywhere (only he did that). His big sisters, my other cousins were there too. They were very helpful, they handed me blankets, towels and filled my water bottle.
Welcome Baby E, your big sisters are ready to show you around, I'll be by to see you soon enough.
Baby G gave me the right amount of awake and asleep. She loved her super fuzzy, wuzzy blanket that grandma got her. Her parents had their belly session at Loyola Beach, the water was perfect!
Welcome Baby G, you are loved to the moon and back.
Baby A is such a cutie. I love his hair, already past his ears! His parents love sports and wanted a bit of football included as well as his favorite blankets. He was pretty awake for most of his session but very calm and didn't kick me too much.
Welcome Baby A, you've already got a puppy best bud!
There are few things in my line of work that enjoy as much as meeting the children of my former wedding couples. Baby R was so super sleepy and relaxed, loved being wrapped and didn't mind the head bands.
So what's in store for Baby R? Let's see, lots of whimsy, creativity, DIY projects and cuddles. Her parents are huge Harry Potter fans, dad made the wand and little flag. I'm sure her night time routine will be her favorite part of the day as they read all these great tales to her. Welcome Baby R!
Baby G gave me such an array of expressions. She didn't want to sleep at first but eventually dozed off enough for some cute photos. Her sister is very much embracing her role, she did a great job holding and kissing. Welcome Baby G!
Baby D has just basically joined 2 families. Moms are best friends, dads play golf together all the time, doggies often hang out too. And his new best friend just arrived!
Yes little guy, there will be lots of hanging out, play dates, riding dogs and getting into trouble. So happy you landed in such great arms.
Introducing Baby C! Clearly, his life will be very exciting, full of winter adventures. And that's a good thing, since we get plenty of ice and snow around here! His parents had their belly session at the Fabyan Forest Preserve, they welcomed him soon after and are so in love! Just look at those eyes.
Welcome Baby C!
Baby L was super awake and aware of her little world, she made me work for it! But look at that face, she is the perfect blend of her parents. I had the honor of photographing their wedding back in 2012. It has been truly amazing watching their journey from boyfriend & girlfriend, to bride & groom, to husband & wife, and now mom & dad.
For their belly session, we went to Millennium Park and North Ave. Beach in Chicago, it was perfect spring day too!
Welcome Baby L, I hope you like the city, cause you have a super active mom who loves it. She is going to take you to all the cool places.
Meet the newest Cloud Baby! This cutie's parents are my bride and groom from 2014, he looks just like his father! His dad's passion is food, so yeah, I brought my itty bitty utensils for him to hold. His mother is a teacher and having a blackboard was downright essential.
Sometimes, a baby sleeps right through their session. Rarely, they look right at me and give me a big smile, he did just that... twice!
Welcome Baby R!
Baby P has super smart parents, they decided to do their maternity photos on the same day as the baby shower, very efficient!
Once she arrived, I went over to their home for some newborn goodness. She slept almost the whole time, she also gave me a long stare and a soft smile. Welcome to the world Baby P!
